Shining a light
Jean’s Place is a nonprofit in New Jersey that focuses on youth mental health services and suicide prevention. We empower the next generation to rise above mental health crises by showing them the light on the other side.
Our mission
Jean’s Place was founded to help prevent suicide in children and teenagers. Our aim is to provide community outreach that destigmatizes mental health problems that lead to suicide and to provide help to those who need it. We recognize that part of the battle is getting access to these services, but another part is in believing that it’s genuinely helpful. Jean’s Place is a space that any child or teenager can comfortably walk into when they need help – to connect, to talk, and to heal.
Mental health issues should be addressed with compassion and respect.
Our purpose and passion are in helping others.
We want to make the world a happier place, and that starts with helping individuals.
In memory of Jean Boyle
